MUSCAT : “I’m very excited to unveil the timepiece in Oman; it’s a small market but one that’s very dear to me,” stated David Tedeschi, Hublot’s Regional Director for Latin America, Middle East and Africa, in a chat with The Arabian Stories, before the formal launch ceremony at the Mistal Showroom.
The unveiling of Classic Fusion Titanium Gradient Blue Oman timepiece marks a decade-long partnership with Mistal; it signals a milestone in Hublot’s commitment to honor cultural heritage and cater to discerning clientele.
As Tedeschi puts it, “We started developing our market in Oman 10 years ago, and this new timepiece is a celebration of our partnership with Dharmesh Khimji and his brand Mistal.”

Designed to pay homage to Oman’s rich maritime beauty and cultural significance, it reflects the renowned Swiss luxury watchmaker’s commitment to delivering exceptional timepieces.
Explaining that Omani clientele hold a special place in their hearts, Tedeschi attributed that factor as the key to crafting this new timepiece. While the Classic Fusion collection itself is a familiar favorite, this particular edition boasts a distinct case made of aged titanium—a material choice that adds a unique touch to Hublot’s lineup.
When asked to describe the inspiration behind the new timepiece, he quipped that he was wearing one, before pointing out that the timepiece is a part of the existing Classic collection, and that it has been inspired by the captivating hues of the Omani sea, with its striking gradient blue dial.
“We know how Omanis are very proud of their country – and we are very proud as well; which is why we wanted to do a special edition dedicated for them,” he stated.
In honoring Oman’s rich heritage, the dial is adorned with intricate calligraphy depicting the renowned khanjar of Oman, along with the inscription “Sultanate of Oman” in Arabic. Adding to its personalized charm, the watch’s second hand proudly displays the vibrant colors of the Omani flag.
According to him, the limited edition timepiece not only celebrates Oman’s pride but also reflects the brand’s deep appreciation for Oman.
Sharing insights into the brand’s expansion strategies, Tedeschi, whose role as the Regional Director encompasses implementing tailored global strategy within the region and fostering business development across diverse markets, pointed out that Hublot has, over the past decade, meticulously cultivated its brand image in Oman, establishing a strong foothold in the market. With sales continuing to see steady growth, Tedeschi emphasized the stable nature of the Omani market. He also highlighted the immense potential for further expansion, particularly in neighboring regions like Saudi Arabia.
In response to what Oman can expect from Hublot, Tedeschi reassured luxury watch enthusiasts of continued product innovation and launches. Having recently unveiled part of its collection in Miami, Hublot remains committed to introducing new novelties throughout the year. He further emphasized the unique connection the brand shares with Omani watch aficionados.
As Hublot continues to forge ahead with its expansion plans, the brand remains dedicated to delivering exceptional luxury experiences and fostering lasting relationships with its discerning clientele in Oman and beyond.
