Qatar reveals 2022 Fifa World Cup stadiums and they are stunning!

The building of the 80,000 capacity venue, which will be the largest stadium during the tournament, is expected to be completed by 2020.

Qatar officially unveiled the design of the Lusail Stadium, where the GCC country will be hosting the opening and final games of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. “Unveiling the design of the Lusail Stadium is another step in our journey to hosting an unforgettable World Cup in 2022,” said Hilal Al Kuwari, Chairman of the Technical Delivery Office in the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, which is responsible for planning and delivering the World Cup in the host country.

“We are currently in the peak construction phase and we are making incredible progress in collaboration with our partners and stakeholders,” he added. The building of the 80,000 capacity venue, which will be the largest stadium during the tournament, is expected to be completed by 2020. The Lusail Stadium is 15 kilometres north of central Doha, forming the centrepiece of the new Lusail City.
