MUSCAT : Qurum Thunders beat Ghubrah Giants, Ruwi Rangers beat Azaiba XI and Amerat Royals beat Bousher Busters in the Oman D20 underway at the Oman Cricket Academy Grounds.

Qurum Thunders beat Ghubrah Giants by 6 wickets

Batting first, Ghubrah Giants put up a total of 155 runs losing 3 wickets courtesy of their Openers Prabhakaran Kannan (43 of 23;5×4,3×6) and Saishiv Narayan (32 of 28;4×4,1×6) and Kalaiarasan (29 of 14;4×6) at the end to put up the total. Sandeep Goud and Samay Shrivastav were the pick of the bowlers for Qurum Thunders picking a wicket each economically. In response, Kashyap Prajapati’s (73 of 57; 5×4,3×6) whirlwind innings along with Sandeep Goud’s (46 of 23; 3×4,3×6) takes Qurum Thunders over the line to book a berth for the 2nd place in the Oman D20.

Ruwi Rangers beat Azaiba XI by 5 wickets

Batting first, Azaiba XI could not get off to a start they wanted and succumbed to the bowling of Ruwi Rangers with Wasim Ali (3/12) being the chief architect and restricting Azaiba XI to a mere 116 in 20 overs. Ruwi Rangers in response chase the total down with Mujibur Ali (61 of 56;3×4,4×6) taking them to the coast and successfully continue their dominance clean-sweeping in the league win all 7 games.

Amerat Royals beat Bousher Busters by 6 wickets

Batting first, Bousher Busters started well looking to post a big total. Busters’ Hammad Mirza (58 of 39;3×4,3×6) and Shubo Pal (40 of 39) helped them to get to 154 in 20 overs. Faisal Shah(2/23) and Vinay Khandelwal(2/29) were the pick of the bowlers for the royals. In response, Amerat Royals chased down the target in the last over courtesy Vinayak Shukla (63 of 44;5×4,4×6) and Karan Sonavale’s (40 of 31) innings. Amerat Royals book their 3rd position in the points table.
