SEOUL : The bilingual publication, released in both Arabic and Korean, documents the journey of friendship, diplomacy and partnership that has shaped relations between the two nations over the past fifty years.
His Excellency Ambassador Zakaria bin Hamad Al-Saadi, Ambassador of Oman to the Republic of Korea, highlighted the depth of the relationship, noting that the book “embodies the history of cooperation and the spirit of friendship that brought the two peoples together.” He expressed hope that the publication would pave the way for “another fifty years of fruitful cooperation and joint progress.”

The ceremony was held under the patronage of His Excellency Lee Kyung-chul, Senior Representative for UN Security Council Affairs at the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who praised the occasion and commended the embassy’s vital role in deepening mutual understanding. He noted that marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties reinforces the enduring partnership between the two countries.

The book features six comprehensive chapters, including congratulatory messages from senior officials in both nations, a detailed review of political and historical relations, and a diplomatic narrative drawn from the experiences of ambassadors who served in both capitals. It also highlights cultural and creative exchanges in arts, media and education, along with contributions from Omani and Korean companies that have strengthened bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
The embassy affirmed that the launch represents an important milestone in Omani–Korean relations, reflecting the spirit of partnership that has developed over half a century and pointing toward a more collaborative and progressive future.
