MUSCAT — Oman Air said on Thursday it has temporarily adjusted parts of its flight schedule after global supply-chain disruptions forced the grounding of a limited number of aircraft, becoming the latest carrier to face operational challenges linked to delays in the aviation manufacturing ecosystem.
In a clarification statement, the national airline said it operates a modern and fuel-efficient fleet designed to meet high service standards. It added that its aircraft are selected from the latest available models and equipped with advanced technology to enhance safety, efficiency and passenger comfort.
The carrier said constraints in the international supply chain had delayed the availability of essential components and maintenance support, resulting in “the temporary halt of a limited number of our aircraft.” While Oman Air did not specify the number affected, it confirmed that several planned flights had to be rescheduled or adjusted.

The airline said it is working “closely and directly” with aircraft manufacturers to accelerate the return of grounded aircraft to full service. It has also implemented operational measures to minimise passenger impact, including rebooking travellers on alternative flights—a standard practice within its operating framework.
Oman Air expressed regret for any inconvenience caused, reaffirming that passenger safety, comfort and wellbeing remain its top priorities. The airline said it continues to uphold its commitment to reliable operations despite ongoing global pressures on aviation supply chains.
