MUSCAT: Indian School Al Ghubra (ISG) has honoured Grade 11 student Nitishsai Harinath for his exceptional achievements in competitive swimming, culminating in his participation at the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 held in Bahrain from 27–30 October. Representing India, Nitishsai secured an impressive 5th place in the 50m Freestyle and 9th place in the 100m Freestyle Relay, marking a proud moment for the school and the wider community.
Nitishsai’s rise to the international stage has been defined by consistent performance and unwavering commitment. At the CBSE National Swimming Championships, he captured 2 gold medals, 1 silver and 2 bronze, earning qualification for the Tamil Nadu State Meet, where he added 4 golds, 1 silver and set two new State Records.
His standout season continued at the 51st Junior National Aquatic Championships 2025, where he claimed 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals, becoming the first swimmer from Oman to win a National Gold Medal—a milestone achievement in the region’s sporting history.
