China extends visa exemption for Omani citizens until end of 2026

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the Government of the People’s Republic of China has decided to extend the visa exemption for citizens of the Sultanate of Oman holding ordinary passports until December 31, 2026.

MUSCAT – Under the extension, Omani citizens may continue to enter and stay in China for up to 30 days from the date of entry without obtaining a prior visa. The exemption applies to travel for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, participation in cultural events, and other non-work-related purposes.


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds citizens planning to travel to China to ensure that their passports are valid for at least six months and that they hold health insurance covering the duration of their stay.
The Ministry extends its best wishes to all citizens traveling to China for a safe and successful journey.
