MUSCAT – The new envoys representing the Republic of Armenia, the Kingdom of Netherlands, Ukraine, and the Arab Republic of Egypt presented their credentials, formally marking the start of their diplomatic duties in the Sultanate of Oman.
His Majesty received the credentials of:
- His Excellency Hrachya Poladian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary appointed by His Excellency Vahagn Khachaturyan, President of the Republic of Armenia, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
- Her Excellency Maartje Peters, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary appointed by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
- Her Excellency Olga Selikh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary appointed by His Excellency President Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
- His Excellency Yasser Mohamed Ahmed Shaaban, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary appointed by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
Their Excellencies the Ambassadors conveyed the greetings of their countries’ leaders to His Majesty the Sultan, expressing their great honour and pleasure in presenting their credentials. They also voiced hope that their work mission would be crowned with success in achieving mutual benefits between their countries and the Sultanate of Oman, determined to strive diligently to strengthen relations and promote investments in various sectors to achieve the desired goals and future visions of their countries and the Sultanate of Oman.
His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the ambassadors, expressing his deep gratitude and appreciation to the leaders of their countries for their kind greetings and sincere wishes, praying to God Almighty to grant them success in fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to them.
His Majesty affirmed that they will receive full support from the government and the people, enabling them to perform their duties with ease, in service of the interests and aspirations of their countries and the Sultanate of Oman.
The ceremony for the presentation of credentials was attended by His Excellency the Minister of the Royal Court, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Major General Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman, and the two military escorts of His Majesty the Sultan.
