MUSCAT: Oman will form mobile teams to vaccinate all workers in government institutions, and will provide COVID-19 vaccines to private sector to administer vaccines to employees, Oman TV reported on Thursday.
The vaccines will be provided to the private sector through clinics in large companies, and in private health institutions licensed to administer the vaccine. Details on distributing vaccines to the private sector will be revealed in the coming days.
According to the report, Oman will receive more than one million doses of vaccines in June and
it is expected that the number of those vaccinated in the country will reach 1.5 million by the end of June.

Meanwhile, the ministerial group administering the vaccines, said the those over the age of 45, pilgrims, and citizens of the governorate of Musandam, frontline workers and employees in government institutions, the Royal Oman Police, the Sultan’s Armed Forces, institutions of higher education and educational personnel will be vaccinated in the next stage.
The deployment of vaccines will take place at vaccination centers in all governorates including
the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, which is currently being equipped for this purpose, and sports complexes in the Governorate of Muscat, and schools and sports complexes in other governorates.
