MUSCAT: His Excellency Engineer Naif bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Oman Civil Aviation Authority, has revealed plans to repurpose the iconic old Muscat airport into a state-of-the-art aviation museum.
With a vision to encapsulate the Sultanate’s remarkable journey in the aviation sector this is what His Excellency mentioned in an interview with Oman TV “The old airport will be multi-purpose, and our ambition is for it to be an aviation museum that documents the legacy and history of the Sultanate of Oman in this sector, which is 94 years old,” he added.
