MUSCAT : The trading value of the Muscat Stock Exchange rose to OMR 15.2 million this week, recording an increase of 4.8% over the trading value recorded last week, which was OMR 14.5 million.
The increase in the trading value can be attributed to the increase in trading on a number of leading stocks in the banking and telecommunications sectors. The bonds and sukuk market also supported the stock market’s trading after it witnessed transactions worth OMR 6.69 million, accounting for 39.7% of the total trading value.
